A new apartment in a building that underwent a long and complicated Tama 38 renovation.
A lovely young couple with two young children who returned to Israel after 10 years in Amsterdam asked us to design and plan an apartment that would be a pleasant, comfortable, and perfectly tailored home for their needs. We cracked the ideal layout plan for them - eliminating an unnecessary guest bathroom at the entrance of the home and turning it into a large, double-sided storage closet that fits big suitcases, with the other side serving as a utility cabinet (for all the tools and cleaning supplies). We also created an entrance closet and an organization area suitable for both adults and children.
We designed a wide, spacious kitchen with a large work surface, including on the island. In addition, we added a dining table that would be more comfortable for the kids.
The small room was turned into a shared bedroom for the children, and the larger room became a playroom. A hidden carpentry door leads to the home office in the reinforced security room (Mamad). A large mirror conceals the electrical cabinet behind it. We planned lots of custom carpentry, an enormous library for books, records, and CDs (with a special compartment for their beloved turntable), large wardrobes in the bedrooms, and lots and lots of storage.
And the best part - the clients have become friends who are also neighbors, and we can pop over for a perfect morning coffee :)
