Clean Lines, Open Space, and Smart Concealment – Transforming a Challenging Apartment into a Flowing, Inviting Home.

Our design intervention focused on the public areas of the apartment – the kitchen and living space. The original kitchen was enclosed, narrow, and outdated, while the living area had an awkward geometry that created unused and purposeless corners.

The clients approached us with a clear request: to open the kitchen to the living area and create a bright, open, and seamless space. The homeowner had one very specific requirement – concealment. She wanted a clean, minimalist design with as much hidden storage as possible.

With that vision in mind, we redesigned the entire area: we opened up the space and created a spacious, streamlined kitchen that is mostly closed and visually discreet. At its center, we placed a large island for family gatherings and casual meals. A hidden door in the kitchen leads to a service room that houses a second refrigerator, laundry area, and generous storage.

One of the most unique features is a custom-designed “wooden box” – a built-in unit that conceals a work station. The desk inside can stay messy - and no one would ever know. This console also extends and unfolds into a large dining table, perfect for hosting family dinners and holiday meals.

We cladded the long TV wall with flexible stone, giving the space a distinctive, textured look. This was paired with wooden slats that echo the design of the wooden box across from it. The extra-long TV console provides even more hidden storage – concealment, as promised.
